ECDA, a partnership venture between - Essex County Council, NHS, Essex University and Essex Police and NHS partners – wanted to improve their data and insights across different thematic areas to better understand the availability of mental health services against the actual demand and also better predict the drivers and aggravators for committing a knife-enabled crime. Security and Governance were key concerns for ECDA. They have partnerships between different public sector organizations and each partner was a controller of their data. They required the capability via a platform to handle structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data and also enable the right set of rules and ownership of data between different organizations within ECDA.
Amorphic as-a- complete data and analytics solution motivated them to choose Cloudwick and AWS as a preferred cloud provider. Amorphic’s maturity and managed nature motivated ECDA vs the other players in the industry such as Microsoft Azure.
